About ELECSA
ELECSA provides inspection, assessment and certification services to contractors working with electrical installations in private dwellings.
It was authorised by the Department for Communities and Local Government (formerly the ODPM) to deliver a competent persons scheme to enable contractors to self certify domestic electrical work under Part P of the building regulations.
ELECSA's core principle is to operate a straightforward certification scheme that provides a friendly and easy to use service. Approved contractors on the ELECSA scheme enjoy the benefits of being with a scheme that is run by electricians for the electrical trade.
Owned by the Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA), the premier trade association that has represented the electrical industry for over 100 years, today there are more than 3,000 contractors registered with ELECSA, notifying approximately 500 jobs per week.
