ELECSA is proud to present its new website www.elecsa.co.uk. The launch of the new site is the culmination of the re-branding that ELECSA has undergone since being purchased by the Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA) earlier this year.
The new website is fresh and vibrant, reflecting the energy that ELECSA has amongst the electrical contracting market. Information about ELECSA, it’s scheme and Part P generally, is presented in a clear and easy to use format. New features of the website include:
- The ‘Find a Contractor’ function has been given a higher profile, making it easier for customers to find an ELECSA Approved Contractor in their area
- The ability to use the online application form that means a contractor can register with ELECSA for just £350 + VAT
- Free access to unbranded certificates for electrical installations are available direct from the download section of the site
Steve Mitchell, Managing and Operations Director of ELECSA says “The ELECSA website now complements all of the corporate and promotional material that has been developed during 2007. The ELECSA brand has been built by being user friendly and here to support the contractor. We have every intention of continually developing the website to be an important resource not just for our contractors, but the industry as a whole.”
The £350 + VAT for an online registration is believed to be the cheapest available in the marketplace. Once an application is received by ELECSA, a scheduled assessment date is confirmed (which will normally take place within 4 weeks of receiving the application). Free transfers are available for those looking to transfer from other schemes.
The ongoing costs of being in ELECSA are a flat £1.50 per job notification and by signing up to the ELECSA warranty provision with the Electrical Contractors’ Insurance Company (ECIC), ELECSA Approved Contractors can offer their customers a warranty on their work at no additional cost to the contractor.
The aim of ELECSA is to be the scheme that best represents the interests of electrical contractors and is continually improving its scheme. The website will help ELECSA to become the scheme of choice for contractors working in the domestic market.
